FAQs: How to handle irrelevant suggestions from Triggers (MA)

If you are receiving suggestions from irrelevant regions (such as China or India) while using post-based triggers, remember that triggers identify activity, but your ICP filters act as the final gatekeeper. Even if someone interacts with a monitored post, they will only appear in your suggestions if they pass your campaign's specific filter criteria.

To improve the quality of these suggestions:

  • Refine Location Filters: Ensure you have specifically set your target regions in both the Headquarters Location (company level) and Prospect Location (individual level) filters.
  • Use Explicit Exclusions: The most effective way to reduce "noise" from broad triggers is to exclude the specific countries or industries that never apply to your business.
  • Broaden Job Title Keywords: If you are excluding many locations, balance your reach by using broad job-title keywords (e.g., Security, Cloud) combined with Seniority filters (e.g., Director, VP) to ensure the system still finds enough relevant prospects in your target regions.
  • Monitor your ICPPC Score: After adding exclusions, check the bottom of your campaign setup page. Ensure your score remains Green or Orange; if it turns Red, your filters may be too restrictive, and the campaign might stop generating leads
